Village-Wide Food Drive
Our youth and members of LeRoy UMC will be going door-to-door on Sunday November 10, beginning at 4 p.m. to collect non-perishable food and personal hygiene items. These items are taken to the Lodi and Seville Food Pantries. Consider joining us for this fun evening of fellowship and service that includes dinner at the end. If you are unable to join us, please have your donations ready or leave them by your front door and they will be collected. Thank you!
Hanging of the Greens and Chili Cook-off
Sunday, November 24 promises to be a great afternoon of fun and fellowship! We will begin with a short worship service at 4:00 p.m. and then decorate the church for Advent and Christmas. We have activities planned for the children, too, and before the last wreath is hung, the chili competition begins! Bring your best culinary treat if you like, or just come enjoy the food and cast your vote!
Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Worship Series
Mister Rogers Neighborhood was a television series for children that promoted love, compassion and kindness, embodied by its host Fred Rogers. At the end of November, a new movie about Mr. Rogers, starring Tom Hanks, will be released nationwide. In recognition of the character traits of Mr. Rogers and how those characteristics intersect with the teachings of Jesus, our worship during the month of November will focus on these Kingdom qualities. At the conclusion of the series, we will sponsor a church outing to see the new movie. Look for details when the movie is released.
