Palm Sunday

We will be celebrating Palm Sunday virtually this Sunday, April 5 at 9:30am via Facebook live and later upload it to YouTube. We invite you to join us in a Palm Procession! Using craft supplies you have at home, make your own Palm Branches to wave during worship. Please take a picture waving your palms and share it with us so we can make a special video to share on Facebook and YouTube. Below are two links to give you ideas on how to make your palms but feel free to use your own creative ideas as well! We look forward to seeing your Palms!

This Sunday is also the first Sunday of the month when we traditionally celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Since we are unable to gather together in one space we will do an alternative celebration. As you prepare to participate in our online worship, grab some comfort food. We will celebrate “A Feast of Love” with our comfort food as a way of “breaking bread” together.

Easter Egg Go!

Since we physically cannot hold an Easter Egg Hunt this year, we have decided to hold Easter Egg Go! instead. Simply color the Easter Egg coloring sheet(s)of your choice and hang them in your window for kids to find while walking around town. Take pictures of your Eggs and your Egg Hunt and share them with us on social media or email them to the church office so we can see and share your eggs! We look forward to hunting eggs with everyone!

Sunday Worship

Our church building may be closed but that does not mean our church is closed! Sunday morning worship will be held via Facebook Live and later uploaded to our YouTube Channel. To view our most recent worship please visit our YouTube Channel!

Reading with Pastor Robin

Join us on Monday-Thursday at 10:00 via Facebook Live for Reading with Pastor Robin. Each day Pastor Robin will be reading a different children’s book for both our young and young-at-heart. Afterwards, the video will be uploaded to our YouTube Channel! Please join us on either Facebook or YouTube!

Corporate Worship Cancelled

After prayerful discernment and consulting with several sources and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, the Ohio Department of Health, and Bishop Tracy Smith Malone of the East Ohio Conference, our Sunday morning worship is cancelled until further notice. Please follow our church FaceBook page and YouTube channel.

Message from Pastor Robin regarding COVID-19

As we are not able to meet together physically right now, we realize that the church is NOT a building. The church is the people, the Body of Christ at work in the world. Our LeRoy United Methodist Church mission statement is “Love God. Love People. Serve the World.” Now more than ever it is time for the Church to be the Church! In our time of social distancing, we can be intentional about our love for God. We have more time to spend reading scripture and praying for one another and our world. We can also be very intentional in our love for people. We may not be able to express our love physically, but we can still reach out to one another by other means. Consider calling someone you haven’t spoken with in a while. Or sending a note … or an e-mail … or a text .. to express your love and care.  And we have opportunity to serve the world. If you have a need or are aware of someone in need in our community, please reach out to us. We are here to help and support one another.
