This Lent, we are excited to offer a new discipleship opportunity that invites us to step more deeply into the story of Easter together. Beginning during the Lenten season, we will gather for a Sunday morning book study based on the new book An Unlikely Lent. The author, Rev. Rachel Billups, is a United Methodist pastor serving in the Columbus area.
This study will explore the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus through the eyes of those who stood nearby—the women and men in the crowd, the side characters, the moments of silence, and the lingering questions. As we reflect on these often-overlooked perspectives, we will be invited to see the Easter story, and our own faith journeys, with fresh insight and renewed wonder.
The study will meet on Sundays at 10:00 am starting on February 22nd in the Fellowship Hall and will be led by Jenny Schleich. All are welcome and warmly encouraged to attend. Whether you are new to discipleship studies or a longtime participant, this is a meaningful way to journey through Lent in community.
